I'm ready to watch football in 3-D and I would pay a premium for it (I enjoyed the U2 concert in 3-D). And why should we limit 3-D events to theaters? Why not watch games in 3-D inside stadiums - set up seats/BYOB (blanket) on the football field when the local team is away? This may be cost-prohibitive up front but I'm sure NFL teams could secure a group discount in exchange for the massive attention/interest this would generate for participating vendors and advertisers/sponsors.

I realize this may be a distant dream, so I'll settle for the pending onslaught of 3-D movies/content at the local theater ... for now.

I am looking forward to James Cameron's Avatar, which will easily be the highest grossing 3-D movie of all time (of course, screen count will be higher but this will be a strong statement for 3-D filmmaking).
