I'm sure all the tablet haters are out there saying that tablets have failed before but it really looks like it's time for a good tablet to succeed. Maybe it won't be mass market at first, but it really could catch on as tablet prices begin to drop and it becomes fashionable to carry a tablet around. I'll bet tablets will catch on big in New York City. I just wish they'd equipped the Big Apple with a better WiFi infrastructure. Maybe when WIMAX or LTE catch on, tablets sales will catch fire. Personally, I want tablets, so I'm not gonna gripe or whine about why tablets are going to fail. If the publishers get on board and the economy gets better, tablets are gonna be big for those that are willing to pay the bucks. I'd love to see tablets replace newspapers and magazines just to save the trees. But I'd also love to carry around a library in my knapsack. Even a 100 pdf and djvu files don't take up much space but can pack an awful lot of reading material that would satisfy me for weeks. Go, Apple and make my dream come true.
