The hackers who duped the New York Times into serving a bogus ad last week may be part of a growing trend. Or they may just be very active: Microsoft says it has been hit by a similar attack and is suing the people behind it.
But first the company needs to figure out who the culprits are.

And now someone’s made off with a pile of Twitter’s corporate documents, apparently with Google’s unwitting assistance. Time to for a realistic solution to the cloud computing security problem.
Amazon won’t come out and say exactly what happened to it sales-ranking system over the past few days. But it is sorry, and it would like the Web and its customers to know that it wasn’t singling out books aimed at gays and lesbians.
